Information Graphics are visual representations of data, intended to make information quickly and easily understandable. But not every infographic is successful.
This is a great example of a successful infomation graphic. The image presents a huge number of statistics in a clear and organized way. It has appealing and simple graphics and uses text sparingly, preventing the graphic from being overwhelming.
On the other hand is this information graphic. While the image is clean and the colors are appealing, the graphic is completely unnecessary. The wide range of numbers might be better shown in a graph instead of the large blocks that create an image that has to be scrolled through. Really you don't even need more than a simple table to display this information.
